Bradley’s Snow Trip – Monday 16th

These are my entries from Facebook for those that aren’t my “friends”:

11:26  Back for lunch. some people are unhappy with their abilities at skiing or snowboarding but most are having a great time. after skiing the fresh powder with the teachers and other second or third (or ninth) time skiers while the rest of the students had their first skiing or boarding lesson we all met up at cloud 9. We made groups and chose teachers as our guardians and went out skiing. Because i am a good skier along with others we had no teacher and went whereever. after losing my group i joined another and spent a while helping Zoe Harry Kewell Smet and Beth Smith off the ground and down Drovers Dream until Shannon Chiappini… came to join us and we headed back to the lodge for lunch down wombats ramble.

12:01 lunch was shepards pie and cornflake cookies. Meeting in 5 to discuss new groups based on skill rather than friendship

16:49 great day of skiing. Weather cleared up after lunch and the snow was smoother to ski on. Saw many people go really well for their first time skiing. Lifts closed 15 minutes ago. Harry and I took an extended way to get home which requred no walking up hills carrying skis. The route was Rudi’s to Village Runto Broadway to Ory’s to Parallel St. to Alberg st. to Slalam st. to Christie st to Halley’s lodge. in the end it took double what the normal route would’ve and harry crashed 4 times.

22:18  spent a good hour preparing the weeks antics at room inspection time. Tonight we all sat around Jevan who was readng a bible, not moving or talking as Ms Bradley inspected our room. She gave us the best mark of the entire ski trip, an A+++. Diner was boiled veges mash and beef. We then threw cards at each other (we cle…aned them up after) and played blackack in our room until lights out

Onwards towards 3000 Geocache finds ….

After attending the celebration of SA Parrotheads 5000 Geocache finds on Sunday it was time to get to a milestone of my own. After signing up to Geocaching.com back in January 2002 but not getting serious until 5 years later in April 2007, we are now approaching 3000 finds.

Had a day off Monday and headed down south around Kangarilla and McLaren Flat but ran out of time as I needed to pick up the kids from school. With 14 finds for the morning, I was getting close but only managed to get to 2997.

So what to do. Somehow I have a free weekend (not sure how that has happened) and Bradley is in the Snow for a couple of weeks. The girls have girls things to do so it is “Geocaching Time”.

I haven’t been to the Yorke Peninsula for over 12 months and there are now 400 caches to be found. So the plan is to try and do 300 caches in 3 days, which will make the 3000, 3100, 3200 and maybe the 3300 milestone. 🙂
