It is not often that we get a chance to drive through Bendigo in the daylight as we are normally heading through here at night from the snow fields.
After a good nights sleep at Bendigo Bush Cabins it was time to head south west back to South Australia and in particular Robe.
Its not a bad drive if it wasn’t for the state of Victorian country roads – they are rough at times. We made it to the South Australian border by 12:30 pm after some lunch at the Edenhope Bakery. This was also the first time I have seen the Arapiles in daylight – it is almost a small Uluru.
Bradley got a little tired and was eventually head back and catching flies. 🙂
2:15 pm and our arrival at our cabin in the Discovery Holiday Park, just in time to unpack and join the group from the High Range 4WD Club for the afternoon drive along Long Beach to Boatswain Point and back.
Jenny and the kids stayed back at the cabin to take in the heated swimming pool.
It was a good drive and all of the cars made it with no problems.
The evening meal was held in Robe at the Caffe Belgiorno, with some good size meals but the week in the snow and the travelling was taking its toll on all of us so it was back to the cabin to crash for the night.
